    Professor Bin Jalaludin*

    Professor, School of Public Health and Community Medicine, University of New South Wales and Director, Centre for Research, Evidence Management and Surveillance, Sydney South West Area Health Service. His research interests are in air pollution and environmental epidemiology, neighbourhoods and health, analysis of large administrative datasets, as well as in translating research into policy. Professor Jalaludin is currently an investigator on a number of significant research projects funded by the ARC, Environment Protection and Heritage Council, NHMRC, Alcohol Education and Rehabilitation Foundation and the Department of Environment and Heritage.

    Professor Melissa Wake*

    Consultant paediatrician Dr Melissa Wake is Director of Research at the Centre for Community Child Health and an Associate Director of the Centre. In this role, Melissa leads a strong team of researchers looking at the development and translation of community-based strategies that prevent or manage common childhood conditions - obesity, language and literacy delay, hearing, and developmental and behavioural concerns. Melissa is also a Senior Research Fellow with the Murdoch Childrens Research Institute and Professorial Fellow with the Department of Paedaitrics at the University of Melbourne.
